A Property Built, Maintained and Evolved Over Many Years

Villa Star of the Sea is an established adult-only boutique resort located directly on Playa de Coco on Mexico's beautiful Costalegre. The property has been developed gradually over many years as a peaceful, low-density oceanfront retreat, with each stage reflecting practical experience, careful maintenance, and continued improvement.

Much of that work has been personally undertaken or directly supervised by us. Eileen has played a major role in shaping the artistic character of Villa Star of the Sea and in running the day-to-day operation, while Jedd has worked largely behind the scenes on property maintenance, construction upgrades, internet and smart systems, point-of-sale systems, backup power, backup water systems, and solar power equipment. Together, we have not simply owned the property; we have actively operated it, understood it, maintained it, and improved it from the inside out.

The Property

Set on approximately one acre, Villa Star of the Sea has been thoughtfully developed to provide privacy, space, and a strong connection to the Pacific Ocean. Three principal buildings are arranged across the property, surrounded by tropical landscaping and outdoor living areas designed for a relaxed beachfront lifestyle.

The scale of the property is intentionally intimate. Rather than operating as a high-density hotel, Villa Star of the Sea offers a boutique environment where guests enjoy generous space, quiet surroundings, and direct access to Playa de Coco.

Looking Toward the Next Chapter

After many years of hands-on involvement in virtually every aspect of Villa Star of the Sea, we are beginning to look ahead. We are not approaching the property as something that must be sold immediately. Rather, as we get older, we recognize that within the next year or two the time may be right to consider transferring the property to someone who appreciates what has been created here and sees the opportunity to continue its story.

That is the purpose of this memorandum: to introduce the property thoughtfully and without urgency. Villa Star of the Sea remains an operating resort, and we continue to maintain and improve it. At the same time, we are open to beginning conversations with a serious prospective buyer whose interests, timing, and vision may be a good fit for the property.

Accommodations

The resort presently offers seven distinctive accommodations. Six are designed primarily for a single guest or couple, while the spacious Royal Star Apartment Suite provides two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate up to four guests.

The accommodation mix includes apartment-style suites with kitchens or kitchenettes as well as comfortable hotel-style rooms. Air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, private living areas, and access to the resort's shared amenities provide flexibility for both shorter stays and extended visits.

Guest Amenities

Villa Star of the Sea includes two swimming pools, tropical gardens, outdoor lounging areas, direct beach access, and multiple spaces for enjoying the oceanfront setting. The property's low-density layout gives guests room to relax without the atmosphere of a conventional large resort.

La Sirena Gordita Restaurant & Bar adds a distinctive hospitality component to the property and serves as a gathering place for guests and the local community during its operating season.

Infrastructure & Operations

The property has been developed with practical long-term operation in mind, including substantial concrete and masonry construction, solar power infrastructure, high-speed internet, security systems, and supporting service areas. The resort has operated for many years and benefits from an established identity, repeat guests, and a recognizable presence on the Costalegre.

The combination of hospitality infrastructure and residential-style accommodations creates flexibility for continued boutique resort operation, seasonal or extended-stay use, private ownership, or other carefully considered future concepts.

Location

Villa Star of the Sea is located on Playa de Coco near Barra de Navidad, Melaque, Cihuatlán, Isla Navidad, and Manzanillo. The surrounding Costalegre is known for its long Pacific beaches, tropical landscape, small coastal communities, and relaxed character.

The setting offers the rare combination of privacy and natural beauty while remaining within reach of established services, dining, shopping, marinas, airports, and regional attractions, and situated very conveniently to the Manzanillo - Costalegre (ZLO) International Airport, just twenty minutes away from our location.
